Plasman, Sweden to participate in IGEday organized by Womenengineer – working together for gender equality within the engineering profession
Womengineer is a Swedish non-profit organization with a very ambitious vision: “… by 2030, we want 50% of all graduated engineers in Sweden to be women”. The core of their networking activities is a website [womengineer.org] which “emphasizes female role models in the form of engineering students and practicing engineers which may inspire other women to approach technical educations.”
Once a year Womenengineer organizes IGEday (Introduce a Girl to Engineering day) which is an event that allows companies to invite girls through the ages of 13 to 19 to visit their office and step into the shoes of an engineer for a day.
Plasman, Sweden, has been one of many companies that has participated in this important day for several years and are also participating this year, 2021!
Registration for IGEday (Introduce a Girl to Engineering day), which kicks off on March 26, is now open!
On this day, Plasman gives young girls and non-binaries the opportunity to meet our talented engineers to take part in what a normal working day may look like as well as to discuss what kind of challenges they face.
