On Monday, June 5, Plasman MVP ambassadors from Lawrenceburg Manufacturing delivered their annual donation to A Kid’s Place. Their donation consisted of many items from the non-profit’s wish list, including healthy snacks, hygiene products, diapers, and therapy sandboxes.
“Kid’s Place is excited to continue a valuable partnership with Plasman. The items collected and donated by Plasman allow our clients to breathe a little easier. As you can imagine, when families walk through our doors, they are often in crisis. Donations of food and hygiene items allow us to take just a little bit of the stress and worry out of their lives,” said Charlsi Legendre, Executive Director, Kid’s Place. “This year, Plasman donated some very specific items that we are very excited about. This year, we received four specialized sand trays with starter packs that include figurines and building structures. Sand tray therapy has been proven to be successful in allowing a child to demonstrate what they are feeling throughout their healing journey, creating their “world” as they see it. Therapists will be able to facilitate growth and progress of reducing symptoms of trauma shown by the transformations demonstrated by the client through the use of the sand trays. We are extremely grateful to the wonderful team at Plasman who show support of Kid’s Place and the mission of providing Hope, Help, and Healing to children and families affected by sexual and severe child abuse.”
A Kid’s Place provides services to children and families that have encountered severe child trauma.
