Plasman Leadership in Action: Executive Team Partnered with Cleveland Manufacturing to Help Deliver 200 Essential Items to Providence House

In a powerful display of community commitment, Plasman’s MVP Corporate Giving program delivered more than 200 essential items to Providence House in Cleveland, Ohio, this week —with Plasman’s senior leadership team leading the way as One Driving Force.

The donation arrival wasn’t just a delivery; it was a team effort. Members of the senior leadership team, including Mark Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer, Rod Alward, North American President, Manuel Alejo, Chief Financial Officer, and Leo Picazo, VP of Operations, joined Cleveland Manufacturing MVP Ambassadors to hand-deliver the supplies to the Cleveland crisis nursery.

“Success is measured by more than just our bottom line; it’s measured by the strength of the community we help build,” stated Sullivan. “Being here at Providence House today reminds us that one of our most important investments is in the safety and future of children.”

Providence House embraces families with support to enhance stability that strengthens communities. They are Ohio’s first and the largest and longest operating licensed Family Preservation Crisis Nurseries in North America. They have kept over 15,000 kids safe and families together since 1981 by providing a free, voluntary, emergency shelter to children aged newborn through 12 whose families are experiencing crisis.  They offer supportive services to help parents and guardians address those challenges to reduce system involvement, prevent foster care placements, and build a stronger foundation for their family’s future.

Cleveland Manufacturing’s General Manager, Elvin Powell, was proud to represent along with his fellow team members. “Our team sees the need in our neighborhoods every single day. Being able to physically bring these supplies to Providence House alongside our executive team shows our team members and our community that we don’t just work here—we live here, and we care deeply about our neighbors.”

Delivering Help Where Needed

Providence House, which provides a safe haven for children and families in crisis, received a wide array of much-needed resources. The Plasman team helped offload and organize a massive shipment that included:

Infant Care: Bulk supplies of diapers and wipes.

Health and Hygiene: Full-sized toiletries and personal care kits.

New Apparel: Clothing ranging from infant essentials to toddler wear.

Comfort and Play: Toys, books, and developmental item to brighten the stay of children at the nursery.

“Logistics and operations are what we do every day, but today, those skills served a much higher purpose,” said Alward. “Ensuring these 200 items got into the hands of those who need them the most was a priority for our entire Plasman team.”

Strengthening the Safety Net

By hand-delivering these items, the leadership team aimed to highlight the importance of corporate presence in local philanthropy. Providence House relies on these contributions to maintain their 24/7 care model, which works to prevent child abuse and keep families together.

“It is truly gratifying to see Plasman actively supporting the communities in which we operate,” explained Alejo. “This commitment not only strengthens our local partnerships but also demonstrates our dedication to making a meaningful impact beyond business objectives. We are proud to stand behind Providence House and their mission to keep families together.”

The successful delivery marks a high point for Plasman’s giving initiative, reinforcing a culture of service that starts at the very top of the organization.

“Taking the time to personally drop off these donations allowed our leadership to see the impact of Providence House firsthand,” said Picazo. “It’s one thing to sign a check, but it’s another to stand on the doorstep and support a team that does so much for Cleveland’s children. Our entire executive suite felt it was vital to be there in person.”
