Queretaro Manufacturing holds an employee team building event at Joya, La Barreta

Recently, Plasman Queretaro Manufacturing held a team building event at Joya, La Barreta, a recreational park close to their facility.  The event consisted of 10 teams of Plasman team members from various departments split up into different teams.

The name of the event was “Climbing the Mountain”, and the activities were separated into segments:

1. Description of your totem (Who am I?): Team members analyzed themselves and drew their totem with something that defined them.
2. Dynamic (Who are my team members?): Employees made “appointments” with colleagues they didn’t know, and spoke about specific topics like, “What are you afraid of?”, “What is your saddest memory?”, “What makes you happy?”, etc.
3. Climbing training (team challenges): There were several team activities throughout, including using buckets to cross to the other side, roll a ball inside tubes they put together, make a boat with some wood and tubes and cross to the other side, etc.
4. Opportunity areas: Once the activities were completed, their team building guide discussed some observations on how they were working together, personal positions in the team, how they could be better, etc.
5. Inspiration: Team members watched a video about motivation and talked about the importance of teamwork, while also getting to know their team members.
6. Challenge – Climb the Mountain: As a team, they were blindfolded and walked through the mountain together.
7. Closing, anchorage, and compromise: The teams agreed with Plasman that we are a family, one driving force, and that everyone is walking together to achieve their Plasman Queretaro goals.

More important than where you’re going is who you get there with. This is a great example of how team building is an important part of our culture and values (Ethics & Integrity, Courage, Communication, and Respect & Fair Treatment). Together, we are stronger, can accomplish more, and shape our future through the embodiment of these values.
