On Thursday, April 28, Plasman continued its ongoing partnership with Windsor Residence for Young Men (WRYM) by donating smart TVs and a recreational table to this Windsor-Essex community partner.
WRYM supports young men 16-24 years of age as they leave homelessness behind to build new lives. They provide a supportive functional family atmosphere, deliver individual counseling, and teach basic life skills to help them integrate into the community and reconnect with extended family or independent living and education and employment.
30-50 young men are housed by WRYM each year in Transitional Housing. They also maintain an Aftercare program for over 370 formerly homeless youth with a success rate of over 85% for the past four years.
“Due to Plasman and the support of their team, we will move forward with renewed spirit and bolstered confidence,” said Jason Weinberg, Executive Director, Windsor Residence for Young Men. “Being able to enjoy a modern recreational space will make a big difference in each of these young men’s lives.”
