One Driving Force: Reintroducing Plasman

Plasman is a global supplier known for its innovation capabilities and rich history dating back over 40 years. Recently, the company completed a worldwide rebrand with a unified global name.
Formerly known as Plasman Group, the change means that all five past divisions, which included Thermotech, are now aligned under a single, unified banner. The Company is eager to use this milestone as an opportunity to reemphasize its talented and diverse team’s world-class experience and capabilities.
Dave Wiskel, Plasman President and CEO, explains, “There’s power in our new brand identity in terms of building pride, showcasing our products and reach, and connecting our employees to something bigger. Our company is built on culture where every day we operate as “One Driving Force”.
Today, within 24 state-of-the-art, environmentally conscious manufacturing facilities and offices that spread across 9 countries, Plasman is a leading global manufacturer of automotive, consumer and medical products for some of the world’s largest and most prominent industry brands.
Over the last decade and a half, the company has grown substantially with the plan to increase its global presence to ensure optimal customer satisfaction while offering a source of supply closer to their customers. The expansion was largely achieved through acquisition and organic greenfield manufacturing site expansions in Mexico, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Canada, and the United States.
Today, the Company employs over 4,300 worldwide, including close to 700 employees within their Queretaro, Monterrey, and Juarez locations. From concept to completion, Plasman specializes in engineering and design, surface finishing, molding, tooling, and advanced assembly.
“Our customers enjoy our single-source solutions. You can look at just about any vehicle that’s made out there, and it is likely it has a Plasman part on it, that is something we all are extremely proud of,” says Wiskel.
More than a global leader in automotive manufacturing and precision molding, Plasman is proud of their long history of partnering with the communities where their team members live and work. Across the world, the company humbly works with charitable service organizations and outreach programs to support the development and well-being of children.
In Mexico, they have built long-standing partnerships with Los Ojos de Dios, Nens de Llum and Casa Hoga Refugio 121, supporting each by donating items of need on their respective wish lists. “It’s important to us,” stresses Wiskel, now in his 16th year as CEO.
“We’ve been over the years a very humble and hardworking company that has grown in size. Together with our partners, we take great pride in making a difference and giving to those who support growing our future. We know we are very fortunate people.”
From design to delivery, Plasman provides its customers the perfect part—where and when they need it. For thousands of team members and their families, the company has done a lot more than that. “We want people to know who we are, what we do, and how important it is to us to be apart of the communities for which we live and work,” concludes Wiskel.
