Our second annual community bed build event with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) brought together over 25 Plasman MVP Ambassador volunteers this past Sunday morning to support the mission that “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town”. Building upon this hands-on support, Plasman made a $5,000 donation during the event. In recognition of this contribution and Plasman’s ongoing commitment to the community, SHP unveiled a banner featuring the Plasman logo, acknowledging the company as a Silver Community Partner donor.
The event floor operated with impressive collaboration and structure. Workstations buzzed as MVP Ambassadors engaged in every phase of production, including sanding, drilling, branding, and staining. Sleep in Heavenly Peace volunteers provided expert guidance, ensuring that first-time builders and seasoned participants alike could contribute effectively. Each completed headboard was carefully branded with the official SHP stamp, symbolizing quality, safety, and community care.

As the noon hour approached, row upon row of finished wooden frames lined the warehouse perimeter, awaiting brand-new mattresses and bedding sets. For local children currently sleeping on couches or floors, these beds represent stability, improved health outcomes, and restored dignity.

The successful two-hour build and partnership investment underscored the profound difference a dedicated group of over 25 MVP volunteers and supporters can make when aligning resources and hands-on effort toward a shared humanitarian goal.
Since its inception, Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Windsor has delivered 1,151 beds to local children in need, helping ensure they have a safe and comfortable place to sleep and wake up ready to embrace each day’s opportunities. Through these efforts, the organization has supported 520 families facing financial challenges and invested more than $517,000 in beds and bedding for some of the community’s most vulnerable children. Recognized by the community as an Exceptional Social Enterprise, Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Windsor continues to make a meaningful difference by turning houses into homes and providing hope, dignity, and comfort to local families.
