This isn’t business as usual, and it’s a time of great stress and uncertainty. It’s also, a moment in time when the work we’re doing is its most critical.
Plasman is committed to supporting communities deeply affected by the virus. Through partnerships, we are focusing on areas of highest unmet need, including addressing medical supply shortages in the most vulnerable communities. We continue to participate in several cross-industry groups and public-private partnerships designed to foster collaboration and coordinate industry response efforts, and thereby accelerate the development, manufacturing, and delivery of essential ventilators.
Most recently, we announced to partner with Ford Motor Company and General Electric to produce 50,000 ventilators in 100 days. Specifically, Windsor Tooling will create the molds and Windsor 1 Manufacturing will mold the parts and ship to a manufacturing partner in Michigan to complete the secondary operations before sending them to Ford Motor Company.
Production of these critical care devices will begin the week of April 20, 2020. Collectively, the partnering companies expect to produce 1,500 ventilators by the end of April and 50,000 by July 4, 2020.
